Nonvisual retina
Pars caeca retinae
Definition
The nonvisual retina is the anterior continuation of the visual retina, beyond the ora serrata. Unlike the visual retina, it is non sensitive to the light and is divided into two zones:
The ciliary part of retina: located on the posterior face of the ciliary body.
The iridial part of retina: located on the posterior face of the iris.
