Aditus orbitae

Definition

The orbital opening is the square-shaped front-facing opening of the orbital cavity. Each orbital cavity is a pyramid-shaped bony space. The base of this pyramid, which is the orbital opening, is located at the front. The apex of the pyramid, along with the optic canals, is situated towards the back.
