Definition
The clavicular head of the pectoralis major muscle originates from the medial half of the clavicle. It is one of the two heads of the pectoralis major (other is the sternocostal head, with also an abdominal part of pectoralis major).
The mscular fibers of the clavicular head of the pectoralis major muscle run obliquely downward and laterally and converge with the fibers of the sternocostal head to form a broad, flat tendon that inserts into the lateral lip of the bicipital groove of the humerus.
Innervation: lateral pectoral nerve
