Precuneus

  • Latin synonym: Praecuneus

Definition

The precuneus is a section of the superior parietal lobule that can be seen on the inner side of the cerebral hemisphere. It is bounded in front by the paracentral lobule, while at the back, it is separated from the cuneus region of the occipital lobe by the parietooccipital sulcus.
