Rotator cable

Ligamentum semicirculare humeri

Definition

The rotator cable (rotator cuff cable) is a relatively new recent topic of interest in current shoulder literature.

The rotator cable is described as thick fibrous bundle that carries the applied forces to the rotator cuff like a suspension bridge around 12 mm length, located approximately 13 mm from the rotator cuff humeral bony insertion and in MRI, described asa linear band of T2/PD hyposignal signal intensity under the surface of the tendons of supraspinatus and infraspinatus.
