Plexus vertebralis

Definition

Vertebral plexus refers to a meshwork of post-ganglionic sympathetic neurons which invest around the vertebral artery, on either side. These post-ganglionic sympathetic neurons are derived from the inferior cervical ganglion or the cervicothoracic (stellate) ganglion.
