Lobar bronchus to left caudal lobe

Bronchus lobaris lobi caudalis sinistri

  • Synonym: Left caudal lobar bronchus

Definition

Juliette Garnodier

The lobar bronchus for the left caudal lobe is the secondary bronchus that provides ventilation to the left caudal lung lobe.

In all domestic species (dog, cat, ruminants, horse) and in humans, this bronchus originates from the left main bronchus, after its entry into the pulmonar hilum.

It specifically extends towards the left caudal lobe, the largest of the left lung lobes, and branches into segmental branches to distribute air.
