Palmar tubercle

Tuberculum palmaris

Definition

The palmar tubercles are located at the palmar surface of the base of the middle phalanx in carnivores, separated by a groove  that is shallower than on the proximal phalanx.

The palmar tubercles are also less pronounced than on the proximal phalanx.
