Suture

A suture is a fibrous joint that can be found nearly only in the head. The bony surfaces are tightly assembled  by a scarce fibrous tissue, that the ossification invades usually with the age.

At a microscopic level, cartilaginous nodules can be found inside the thickness of this fibrous tissue; it underlines the conventional character of the classification.
