三叉神经压迹是位于颞骨岩部前面靠近其尖端处的一个浅凹陷。它标志着半月形三叉神经节所在的位置。三叉神经节nestled于三叉神经压迹内，处于理想位置，可将其三条分支——眼神经、上颌神经和下颌神经——分别经由各自特定的通道分布出去：依次为眶上裂、圆孔和卵圆孔。
