髋臼深度是用于评估犬髋关节解剖学的一项测量指标，用于计算髋臼指数。该测量在横断面二维CT图像上进行。犬取背卧位，髋关节伸展、内收并轻度内旋。测量在连续三张包含髋臼窝、轮廓清晰的髋臼顶、圆形股骨头及头凹的图像上进行。
在髋臼背外侧点与腹外侧点之间画一条连线（即确定髋臼宽度）。再画第二条线，垂直于第一条线，连接至月状面的背内侧缘。髋臼深度即为该垂直线的长度。
