水平髋臼扇形角是用于评估犬髋关节解剖学的一项测量指标，尤其用于评估髋臼顶外侧斜度。该角度由横断面二维CT图像确定。检查时犬取背卧位，髋关节伸展、内收并轻度内旋。测量在三张连续图像上进行，所选图像需包含髋臼窝、轮廓清晰的髋臼顶承重区、圆形股骨头及股骨头凹。
水平髋臼扇形角是腹侧髋臼扇形角的腹侧线与背侧髋臼扇形角的背侧线之间所形成的角。
Lopez等（2008年）发现，存在髋关节松弛的成年混血犬的水平髋臼扇形角为125.0 ± 6.5°（范围88.1 - 144.0°）。
Andronescu等（2015年）发表了不同骨关节炎评分对应的水平髋臼扇形角结果：
骨关节炎评分0分：134.41 ± 9.64°
骨关节炎评分1分：122.61 ± 9.20°
骨关节炎评分2分：117.68 ± 11.79°
骨关节炎评分3分：108.89 ± 7.11°
Andronescu等（2015年）发表了46只犬在各年龄段所有骨关节炎评分合并后的水平髋臼扇形角数据：
16周龄：135.32 ± 9.98°
32周龄：128.58 ± 13.29°
104周龄：124.99 ± 13.24°
