The distal tendon of the adductor magnus inserts onto the adductor tubercle of the femur. This tendon is part of the larger adductor magnus muscle.

The distal insertion of the adductor magnus tendon is located near the adductor hiatus, a gap in the muscle through which the femoral vessels pass to become the popliteal vessels. The mean distance from the adductor tubercle to the adductor hiatus is approximately 10.8 cm.[2]
