Definition
The infrapatellar fat pad recesses (Hoffa's fat pad recesses) include the inferior infrapatellar fat pad recesse (infrahoffatic) and superior infrapatellar fat pad recesse (suprahoffatic), which are located along the posterior margin of the infrapatellar fat pad and are important in distinguishing between normal anatomical variations and pathological conditions.[1]
