Infraspinatus tendon

Tendo musculi infraspinati

Definition

The infraspinatus tendon is a tendon of the rotator cuff of the shoulder. It has a fanlike appearance with a superior half long and thick and a posterior half short and thin.

The anterior portion of the infraspinatus tendon is slightly more protuberant than the posterior and partially covers the posterolateral part of the supraspinatus tendon.
