Lateral posterior nucleus

Nucleus lateralis posterior

Definition

Muhammad A. Javaid

Lateral posterior nucleus is a dorsal tier nucleus, of the lateral group of thalamic nuclei. Just like lateral dorsal nucleus, the details of the connections of this nucleus are elusive, however, it is believed to have interconnections with the cingulate cortex and the parieto-occipitotemporal (POT) cortex.
