Right lumbar part of diaphragm

Pars lumbalis dextra diaphragmatis

Definition

Antoine Micheau

The right lumbar part of the diaphragm refers to the posterior attachment of the muscle of right hemidiaphragm to the lumbar vertebrae.

The right lumbar part of the diaphragm is primarily composed of the right crus of diaphragm which originates from the anterolateral surfaces of the upper lumbar vertebrae and the intervertebral discs, and from the right medial and right lateral arcuate ligaments (ligaments previously termed as lumbocostal arches or Haller's arches).
