Caudal part

Pars caudalis

  • Related terms: Caudal part of lesser tubercle

Definition

Anne-Sophie Emeric

The caudal part of the lesser tubercle forms a convexity located caudal to the cranial part. It represents the caudal subdivision of the lesser tubercle and is less clearly individualized than that of the greater tubercle.

In ruminants and horses, the lesser tubercle is separated into a cranial and a caudal part.
