Sulcus intertubercularis

Definition

The intertubercular groove (bicipital groove) is located between the greater and lesser tubercles on the cranioproximal part of the humerus. This groove is subdivided by a flat protuberance in ruminants and a prominent ridge in horses, called the intermediate tubercle.
