Ligamentum tibiofibulare caudale

Definition

The small articular capsule of the distal tibiofibular joint is reinforced by two distal tibiofibular ligaments, a cranial one, the cranial tibiofiular ligament (Lig. tibiofibulare craniale) and a caudal one, the caudal tibiofibular ligament (Lig. tibiofibulare caudale), they are transverse and extended obliquely from the tibia to the corresponding borders of the distal extremity of the fibula.
