Cranial

Cranialis

Definition

Juliette Garnodier

Cranial refers to what, relative to a given transversal plane, is closer to the head (as opposed to caudal, which is closer to the tail).

Rostral is more appropriate for the head, where the adjective “cranial” would be meaningless.
