Cranial glenohumeral ligament

Ligamentum glenohumeralis cranialis

Definition

The glenohumeral ligaments are internal thickened parts of the joint capsule of the glenohumeral joint.

In dogs, these reinforcements are located medially and cranially, forming the medial and lateral glenohumeral ligaments (not listed in the VIth edition of the NAV). In horses, there is only a cranial reinforcement (cranial glenohumeral ligament (not listed in the VIth edition of the NAV).
