Head of fibula
Caput fibulae
Definition
The head of the fibula is on the proximal extremity of fibula. In carnivores, pigs and horses, it articulates with the tibia by the articular facet of the head of fibula (not in ruminants because the head of fibular is rudimentary and fused with the tibia).
