Mediall part of glenoid cavity of middle phalanx

Pars medialis cavitae glenoidales phalangis mediae

Definition

In horses, for several authors like Barone or JM Denoix, the proximal articular surface of the middle phalanx is not described as a simple articular fovea (as listed is in the NAV), but as an articular surface including a medial and a lateral glenoid cavity separated by an intermediar eminence sometimes termed as the sagittal ridge of base of middle phalanx.
