Ligamentorum palmaria

Definition

In horses, the palmar ligaments of the proximal interphalangeal joint (pastern joint) consists of two central pairs of ligaments (axial and abaxial ligaments), which run parallel to the straight sesamoidean ligament, and the lateral and medial palmar ligaments.
