Vertebra - C3

Vertebra - C III

Definition

Antoine Micheau

The third cervical vertebra (C3) is a cervical vertebra located in the neck between C2 (axis) and C4.

In vertebrates, cervical vertebrae are the vertebrae of the neck, positioned immediately below the skull. All mammals have seven cervical vertebrae, numbered C1 to C7. C3 contributes to neck support and cervical mobility.
