Definition
The seventh cervical vertebra (C7) is the last cervical vertebra, located between C6 and the first thoracic vertebra (T1).
In vertebrates, cervical vertebrae are the vertebrae of the neck, positioned immediately below the skull. All mammals have seven cervical vertebrae, numbered C1 to C7. C7 marks the transition between the cervical and thoracic regions.
