Definition

Antoine Micheau

The distal tendon of the gracilis muscle is part of the pes anserinus, which also includes the tendons of the sartorius and tendon of semitendinosus muscle. The gracilis tendon inserts on the medial aspect of the proximal tibia. The distal part of the gracilis tendon is covered by an aponeurotic membrane, which fuses with the fascia cruris, contributing to the stability of the medial side of the knee joint.[1]
