Definition
The ileal branch of the ileocolic artery is terminal branch taht supplies blood to the terminal ileum.
In sutides, the ileocolic artery was shown to supply the ileocecal valve and terminal ileum, with the ileal branch being a significant contributor to this vascularization.[1]
