Right hiatus for thoracic splanchnic nerves
Hiatus splanchnicus dexter
Definition
The right thoracic splanchnic nerves, comprising the greater, lesser, and least splanchnic nerves, exhibit significant anatomical variability as they pass through the diaphragm but the most common pattern observed in anatomical studies is that these nerves pass through a single location in the right crus of the diaphragm, called the right hiatus for thoracic splanchnic nerves, rather than through three separate locations as often depicted in traditional anatomical illustrations.
