Cerebellar hemisphere
Hemispherium [Hemisphaerium] cerebelli
Definition
The cerebellar hemisphere is one of the two paired lateral portions of the cerebellum, situated on either side of the median cerebellar vermis. Each hemisphere has a surface arranged into folia separated by sulci and consists of an outer cerebellar cortex covering a central core of white matter. Its lobules form the lateral components of the cerebellar lobes, with the flocculus constituting the ventral part of each hemisphere. Together, the cerebellar hemispheres form the paired lateral masses of the cerebellum.
