Definition
The cranial surface of the radius is smooth. Toward the distal end three grooves for tendons are obvious in ox and horses, from medial to lateral:
- An oblique groove for tendon of abductor pollicis longus
- A vertical groove for tendon of extensor radialis carpis
- A vertical groove for tendon of common digital extensor
