Canalis semicircularis lateralis
Definition
The lateral semicircular canal is one of three bony semicircular canals, between 0.2 and 0.5 mm in diameter, containing the lateral semicircular duct. The plan of its circle relative to the base of the skull faces dorsally and slightly caudally.
