Medial auricular branch

Ramus auricularis medialis

Definition

Marjorie Champarou

The medial auricular branch is on the back of the auricle, along the tragic border.

In ruminants this branch comes from the rostral auricular artery, while in rabbit it comes from the occipital artery.

This branch is the terminus of the caudal auricular artery, except in the cat, where the terminus is formed by the deep auricular artery.
