Arteria stylomastoidea
Definition
The stylomastoid artery enters the stylomastoid foramen, together with the facial nerve, to distribute itself into the middle ear.
Variations:
Horse: It originates from the caudal auricular artery through the intermeridian of the deep auricular artery.
Bovine: Branch of the occipital artery.
Pig: Branch of condylar artery, division of the occipital artery.
