Processus styloideus medialis

Definition

The styloid process of radius extends medially, from the distal the main carpal articular surface in the form of a sharp, wedge-shaped projection.

In the horse the distal part of the ulna is incorporated within the radius: for sake of clarity, the Nomina Anatomica Veterinaria has inserted two subentries for the styloid process for horse:
