Definition

The head of ulna continues distally as the lateral styloid process.

The articular surface for the carpe of the syloid of ulna articulates with the ulnar carpal (triangular, triquetrum) bone.

In the horse the distal part of the ulna is incorporated within the radius: for sake of clarity, the Nomina Anatomica Veterinaria has inserted two subentries for the styloid process for horse:
