Metacarpointersesamoid ligament

The metacarpointersesamoid ligament is an sesamoid ligament of the metacarpophalangeal joint that connects the distal end of the third metacarpal bone to the proximal sesamoid bones. Its function is to stabilize the fetlock joint as part of the sesamoidean/suspensory apparatus.
