Ligamentorum sesamoidea obliqua
Definition
The oblique sesamoid ligaments are paired distal sesamoidean ligaments that originate from the distal border of the proximal sesamoid bones and run distally and axially in an oblique, V-shaped course to insert on the palmar/plantar surface of the proximal phalanx.
