Definition
The oral cavity is the space bounded rostrally and laterally by the lips and cheeks, dorsally by the palate, ventrally by the floor of the mouth, and caudally by the oral part of the pharynx. The oral cavity can be divided into an oral vestibule and an oral cavity proper.
