Orbiculus ciliaris

Definition

Felipe Barona Lopez

The orbiculus ciliaris is one of the two rings forming the ciliary body, the more peripheral of the two. It has a slightly folded appearance with its ciliary plicae contrasting with the much more folded appearance of the corona ciliaris and its broad ciliary processes. This ring is continuous with the choroidea.
