Short posterior ciliary arteries
Arteriae ciliares posteriores breves
Definition
The short posterior ciliary arteries detach from the long posterior ciliary arteries and cross the sclera through its post-equatorial segment to give the main arteries of the choroidea. Their number varies according to species and individuals.
