Supratrochlear foramen

Foramen supratrochleare

Definition

Anne-Sophie Emeric,

The supratrochlear foramen is an opening in the distal humerus of certain mammals, formed by the communication of the olecranon and radial fossae. While it is consistently present in dogs, it is absent in cats, which instead possess a medially located supracondylar foramen.
