机械外侧远端桡骨角由桡骨机械轴与远端桡骨关节定向线的交叉所定义。
有研究报道，拉布拉多寻回犬在卧位和站立位时，机械外侧远端桡骨角的平均值分别为87.2 ± 3.2°和85.7 ± 2.6°。
