Lateral ligament of bladder

The lateral ligament of the bladder is a paired condensation of the endopelvic fascia that extends from the lateral pelvic wall to the inferolateral aspect of the urinary bladder.

It consists of loose fibroconnective tissue that encloses the vesical vascular pedicles, lymphatic vessels, autonomic nerves, and connective tissue supplying the bladder. Unlike the pubovesical ligaments, it is not a discrete suspensory ligament but a fascial attachment that stabilizes the bladder while transmitting its neurovascular structures.
