Right interlobar artery
Arteria interlobaris dextra
- Synonym: Right descending artery; Inferior trunk
Definition
The right interlobar artery (inferior trunk, descending branch) arises from the right pulmonary artery (RPA) at the right lung hilum and runs in the interlobar fissure and parallels the bronchus intermedius, supplies the right middle and right lower lobes.
The term “interlobar artery” is not officialy listed in the Terminologia Anatomica 1&2, but is often use in daily practice, especially in CT anatomy of pulmonary arteries.

Middle lobar artery of right lung
Inferior lobar artery of right lung
