Tendinous intersection of flexor hallucis longus and flexor digitorum longus tendons

Intersection tendinosus flexori longi digitorum et flexoris longi halluci

Definition

The knot of Henry (Tendinous intersection of flexor hallucis longus and flexor digitorum longus tendons) is the narrow space located between the tendinous intersection  of the flexor hallucis longus and flexor digitorum longus tendons. This small space is responsible to “intersection syndrome,” as a result of tendinosis, tenosynovitis, and tears.
