Tendon of gluteus minimus muscle

The tendon of the gluteus minimus muscle originates from the gluteus minimus muscle (inserted in the gluteal fossa of the ilium) and inserts onto the anterior facet of the greater trochanter of the femur. The tendon also has a connection to the hip joint capsule, which helps in retracting the capsule during hip joint motion to prevent capsular entrapment.
