Articular circumference

Circumferentia articularis

Definition

Antoine Micheau

The articular circumference is located on the caudal aspect of the head of the radius and allows articulation with the ulna, facilitating supination in carnivores.

In ungulates, it is reduced to two small caudal facets and has no functional role.
