Caudal ligament

Ligamentum caudale

Definition

The caudal ligament can only be seen in certain species and its individualization is questionable; in Men, it is a weak extension that goes from the medial extremity of the articular tubercule of the temporal bone to the mediocaudal border of the mandibular condyle; in Equidae we find in the same position a yellowish elastic reinforcement, that is not distinct from the capsule.
